HB TIPS: How to store your leather piece.

Leather is a beautiful natural product and caring for your HB piece is an important part of sustaining its longevity.

Always store your leather piece in a dust bag, this will keep it clean and protected. Our included Triangle Bag is the perfect option for this. (Although personally I use my Triangle Bag almost everyday, so it certainly won't be in the closet long enough to protect it!) But any soft woven cotton bag will do the trick!

Always store your leather piece in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight. Sunlight can cause the leather to fade. Even when you are using your bag daily, it is a good idea to always check that it's not left in direct sunlight as this will cause your bag to dry out, potentially crack and discolour.

Never store your bag/wallet in plastic, as this will cause the leather to sweat. Leather needs to breathe. If the leather sweats it can leave watermarks or even worse, create an environment for mildew or mould. eek!
